Pakistan was created in 1947 after the division of Punjab with the massacre of 2 million Punjabis and displacement of 20 million Punjabis. After separation of the Bengali majority eastern wing of Pakistan in 1971, now the western wing of Pakistan is a Muslim Punjabi-majority state due to 60% population of Pakistan .
